I bought a pair of shows at Carnival tonight. I had a credit that had been in my wallet for quite a while which had been issued when I returned something past 30 days if I am not mistaken, so I received a "credit".

When I attempted to use it tonight, I was told it was invalid because after a year, they start deducting an "inactivity fee" which ate up all my credit. It is there is the fine print on the credit that they can do this, but first time I was aware of that. I am 62 years old and have been shopping since I was a teenager. I have never heard of anyone charging an "inactivity fee" toward a credit.

Total rip off. Why does Carnival care how long it takes for me to use my credit. It is to their benefit for me to wait to use it as long as possible since they have the use of my money for a longer time.

Anyway, I think this is a total rip off, so I just bought my last pair of shoes at Carnival. No "inactivity fee" at TJ Max, Marshalls, or Houser shoes.

Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.

Shoe Carnival Cons: Your policy regarding my credit.
