- False advertising and poor customer service
Disgraceful Manager
This true story about the Shoe Carnival Store on 3408 Glenstone Ave
Springfield, MO 65804. Today, Sunday March 18th, 2018, my wife and I entered the store and could not help notice the manager (I assume) making the "Shoe Sale Announcement".
It was a few minutes past 11 am; opening time. The announcer was wearing faded holey wrinkled jeans and looked totally sloppy and unprofessional. He fidgeted and danced throughout his speaker announcement as if he were {{Redacted}}. I told my wife that he had all the characteristics of being a junky (no eyebrows, fingernails crusty, deteriorating teeth, flaky bald head).
During our check out, a young, well dressed, gentleman approached this manager/supervisor and said, "Excuse me Sir. Could you tell me where the restroom is in this facility?". Judging by how this humble courteous young man was holding himself, he was desperate. This disgraceful employee spun around and ridiculed the young man's approach to the question.
He loudly and obnoxiously gave detailed directions to the restroom. He had the entire store's attention. The two girls running the registers hung their heads low, and I could tell that they wanted to disappear. He would not shut up and got louder and longer winded.
I looked around and the couple beside us were in total awe, with their mouths open; in shock. We completed our check out and on our exit we passed close by the two men. I leaned in to the embarrassed young man and stated loudly, " Just turn and walk. It is in the back".
The jerk of an employee was so in to his belittlement that he did not hear what I said. Frankly, I wish the man would have pissed on his shoes.
This male is a disgrace to the male species and should be isolated from mankind. I will not EVER buy from this store again until I know this employee has been terminated.
Preferred solution: Terminate employee and adopt maticulous hiring technics through HR

I ordered 4 pairs of shoes. One pair that I received was two left shoes.
I called customer service the same day that I received the shoes. I was told that I would receive an ups label to return the shoes and they were Rush delivering a replacement pair that I would receive in two days they also gave me a tracking number for the replacement shoes. I received the ups label to my email 48hrs later but still no replacement shoes and the tracking number was nonexistent. I called customer service to clarify the issue and was laughed at and told I had to return the shoes first before receiving the replacements (which is NOT what I was originally told) the representative that I spoke to not only laughed but then yawned mid conversation.
I then tried calling an actual shoe carnival store to see if I could return online purchases through them and was told no. Despite the website and customer service line clearly stating that you can return online purchases in store.
After printing out the ups label to return the shoes, I have been informed that I have to find the nearest ups drop off point (which is 45 minutes away from where I live) OR pay 10.00 for them to pick it up from my home. I am not looking for anything other than a right shoe to go with the left and I am really disappointed with the customer service.
Coupon bait and switch
Last night as I was checking out at the Shoe Carnival in Colonial Heights, a petite, white, dark-haired woman told me that I could not use the $15.00 coupon that I was presenting from telephone because "it was defective because they were supposed to make the coupon for $10.00 but it malfunctioned and printed for $15.00. I said, "are you sure because this app has people stating that they used and it was fine!" She said, "Well my manager said to tell people that they have to use the $10.00 scan behind the counter".
As she scanned the $10.00 scan, I said that is a "bait and switch tactic, May I speak with your manager". At this time a tall black woman walked out and the cashier told her that I wanted to use the coupon but the General manager told her to use the $10.00 coupon. So as the manager was attempting to use the coupon that I have in my phone, she asked the cashier if it worked. She said that she didn't use my coupon.
The manager used my phone and used the $15.00 coupon. I am a Business Management Student at VSU here in Virginia, and we just studied this type of disgusting act and I couldn't help but to think that the cashier had alternate motives. She was crass the way she said that my phone coupon was defective. Why didn't the so-called manager know about the switch coupon amount tactic.
I am livid and I want answers. I will post this statement on my Fbook page until someone tell me why is your company using Bait and Switch tactics. I am also reporting it to the Better Business Bureau. I find this to be very offensive and my husband was standing beside me "shaking in his boots" because he knew that I hate, totally despise, when people try to defraud me.
I treat everyone with dignity and respect, but this was, disgusting . It was not about the $5.00 difference.
This is about the deceit and disrespect from a company I shopped at regularly! Notice that shopped is in the past tense!

I have bought new balance for years and loved them .
The last 2 pairs the leather has split on both pair and you pay to much for them to split like that. New Balance has really changed it’s policy on material they get cheaper every year so unless I hear something I will quit buying them, I know one person won’t break you, but I know I will never have anything good to say about them, being a Senior Citizen I really can’t afford to pay the price and then have them split.
I know you know what I am saying with out having 100 words.

General Manager complaint
I live in monroe, la area and my store I love to go to is Shoe Carnival when spring getting ready to come in. Well I was in there today on 3/11/2018, and your G.M.
of the store is rude, no customer service, and she come off very racist. Now Im asking her about shoes and she telling me to basic find somebody else to speak to about what I need. You only seem to have few workers and look like everyone busy except her. She walk slow, and don't seem like she want to be there.
And when you working around blacks and whites, rather you like either you have to respect them in a store you chose to work in. I wanted to reach out because I see this everyday and no one say anything and it need to stop or you need better workers. I work in customer service everyday on the phone and handle calls from different states and I keep calm all the time. Also she pass by me and when outside to take a smoke break, so o thought that was rude and no customer service.
This is a very upset customer that spend to much money for that behavior.
General Manager need to do better. what happen to the last one.

Manager Debbie horrible customer service
I purchased 2 pair of shoes on line and got them shipped to store in the sandhill mall store in Columbia SC. I received a messages that stated the shoes arrived.
In route to the store, I found the shipped pair cheaper. I arrived at the store for pick up. Manager Debbie seemed as if she felt some type of way because I returned the shoes and she had to go retrieve them from the back. I also purchased 2 pair in the store on this day.
My other pair did not get to the store after Christmas. On the 27th I went to pick up the pair. The sad thing is when I ordered it did not state that the shoes would be here after Christmas. So I had to purchase another pair.
The shoes carnival pair I would have to return. I arrived at the store. I waited about 5 minutes before a cashier arrived to the register. The store was not busy.
I told the cashier I was there for pick up. I waited 15 and 3 attempts for Debbie to emerged with the package. This is after she asked for my info after the cashier gave it to her 3 times prior. I told Debbie that I need to return the boots.
That's when she got her panties in a bunch. I also told her my debit card for the account was dead and I was waiting on my new debit card so I asked if the return could be in cash. She refused and stated she could only do Merchandise Store Credit. I asked why and she told me to read the return policy in the nastiest way possible.
I asked to speak to someone above her because the policy did not state what she stated and I had a receipt. I waited 10 more minutes. While waiting I called customer service. Could you believe I was speaking to a rep and told her my situation before Debbie returned.
Ha. Customer service rep could not believe Debbie put me through all this. Even heard how Debbie spoke to me stating she could only do it this time will never happen again. I told her she didn't have to worry because I would never shop there again and she told me it was fine with her as she snickered with the cashier as the cashier gave me my cash refund.
Rep could not believe her ears and told me to make a complaint. Debbie didn't even apologize for the inconvenience.
The rep did apologize. We both Could not understand why she did all this.

I just saw this on my step dads Facebook I remember this day well a rude pushy gentlemen around 60 tall and thin made some comment about my mom's former husband darrin looks nothing like a junkie he is overweight clean for the Ozarks he has great teeth lol clean nails eye. Brows not sure where his knowledge of drug use came from but seemed to me his wife was very intrigued by my dads charismatic charm and angered him.
I remember telling my girlfriend that guy there has the traits of a possessive wife beating pedophilia. Beady eyes glasses receding hair line small hands swollen red nose total abcence of a front bump ungroomed ear hairs fake Rolex and skin tags btw your wife carried out several pairs of shoes I noticed did your lifetime boycott start after that Mike caedwell
I believe this consumer is describing me. I've never even seen *** used to battle opiates but have been recovery for years.
My teeth are discolored more than I like but I have them all no major chips and never had a cavity. My heads shaved I hope not flaky whatever that means and my nails trimmed and clean at all times. Jeans with holes are never allowed and if they were faded they were 200.00 rock revivals I got for Christmas. I remember the incident the young well dressed was my son visiting from Illinois.
Can't remember the exact exchange but I gave him a hard time about the pottie. I remember because he was upset somebody said something derogatory about me and made him mad. I do get long winded at times working on that I love my job and value customers I am very sorry to offend anyone I never would on purpose.
I get nervous on occasion iris public speaking afterall I didn't realize I fidget or dance but not shocked maybe u should try my job show me how to relax. Some of your comments were personal if u want to meet alone in private and discuss those comments I'd oblige you 209****
Darrin is 260 with nearly perfect teeth. Brash loud arrogant witty knowledgeable *** and entertaining very helpful and sincere. Never abusive rude or insulting in anyway hurtful he is very cheesy never saw flaky
