This is the first and only time I have purchased anything from Shoe Carnival.com. The only reason I made this first purchase is because their prices were so low.
After receiving my order, which came in good time, I understood why the prices were so low. I purchased a pair of boots and a pair of slippers. (see pics below) Both were Xmas gifts. Both pairs were cosmetically defective.
I promptly took pictures and called customer service. I spoke with a person named Blake. I explained my problem and asked for a prepaid return label. He immediately asked me if there was a store near me.
I told him no and that that didn't matter because I wasn't going to use my gasoline to take defective shoes back to any store. This guy huffed at me and said "well, I'll email you a return label" as if what I was asking for was so over the top that he couldn't believe it. It was all in his tone of course. Rude and dismissive.
I asked to wait on the phone until the label came through. He said that it takes 48 hours to get a return label. I thought that was strange but since I'd never dealt with SC on a return I had to give him the benefit of the doubt. I then asked if he could give me a reference number or send an email so I had recourse for my request.
He then said that there was no reference number and that he was incapable of send an email. I got off the phone feeling pretty angry and knew that he probably wasn't going to follow through. Well he didn't. He was nothing but a liar.
I called back two day's later and was told that everything he told me was untrue. When you call in about a return, a case number is assigned and sent to another department for processing. It's truly a shame that companies don't take customer service more seriously. Well Mr.
Chase this ain't over.
I'll get my label and my refund and hopefully you reprimanded by the time I'm finished with my complaint.

Charged twice
Online Experience Suck!!
I placed an order online and shipped to store. I canceled my Original order due to shoes arriving in VERY POOR CONDITIONS.
They were dirty as if they were used already. Unfortunately i had to reorder and wait additional 7 days for a new order. The new order came and there were minor scratches and stains. I was so mad.
But they looked much better than the original order The store manager was very kind he discounted the shoes and i just left with those because my niece had been waiting 2 weeks already for shoes she REALLY WANTED.
I will never order online again they don’t even provide tracking numbers. My experience was horrible I deserve at least an apology for that.

Double charged
Received ONE shoe
Ordered four pairs of shoes from them. Received all four shoe boxes in a plastic shipping bag.
The boxes were destroyed, completely broken and disassembled from being crushed during shipping. I was giving these as Christmas gifts and the boxes look like I pulled them out of a dumpster. One of the pairs wasn't a pair at all, just a single shoe. I called and requested a replacement pair with overnight shipping (cutting it close to christmas) and 5 days later I still hadn't been sent shipping confirmation or tracking.
I called them again and they said the replacement order never went through. Finally received them today (two weeks after the original order date), but still haven't received the return shipping label (yes they requested I return the single shoe).
Don't know why I bothered with Shoe Carnival again, they pulled similar *** last year when they shipped my shoes with security tags still attached. Done with them.
Excessive hold on card;Double payment; overcharged
I ordered on line and was charged when I placed the order. Part of the order shipped so I was charged for what shipped but the original charge stayed on the account.
The remainder of my order has now shipped and I was charged for those items. The original charge is still on my account. I call customer service only to be told 3-5 business days and it will 'fall off'. The woman from customer service told me that she put a ticket in for the charges to drop off...in 2 business days.
I was charged $500 because of their asinine policy of charging twice. NO other company does this. I am returning ALL 10 pairs of shoes that I ordered because of this.
A good deal is not worth supporting a company like this. And they charge more by doing this.

It’s really funny, maybe a coincidence but just about 10 minutes after posting this review and 30 minutes after chatting with the lady who said it takes 14 days to process the returns they refunded my money minus the shipping cost.
The 2 pairs came in their boxes shoved into a bag, not shipped in a box. One of the boxes was totally destroyed which wasn't a really big deal at first since I don't save the boxes BUT I had to return them, I didn't like the fit on either of them. I'm hoping they don't try to blame me or take more of my money for that. Now to the real problem.
If you pay using paypal and you want to return something you have to UPS it back and they will take the shipping, I think it said $6 out of your refund. I'm glad I looked that up before I drove across town to return them. It really sucks that you can't take them to the store to return, because they have no way of putting the money back into your paypal account in the store, well here's a thought give me cash. That money came out of my bank account and went to you so why does it have to go back to my paypal?
I dropped the package off at UPS on 5-15-18. I just checked the tracking and they received it on 5-18-18 today is 5-22-18. I started a chat with them and found out it takes about 14 days for them to process the return and give me my money back, the part that they are not keeping for shipping.
This is ridiculous!!!!!
If you order from the don't use Paypal to pay unless you want to HAVE to UPS it back to them at your expense. I think if you are willing to take it to a store but they force you to mail it back that you should not be charged, you also should not be charged shipping if you live a certain distance from a brick and mortar store.
I personally will not be ordering from their website again and I probably won't go to their stores either.
